BUILDING HABITS

The mind is a wonderful and intriguing part of the body, it can control the outcome of situations and make or break a person just by what it processes and what those processes then lead to. How comes some people get all the luck and others seem to get all the bad things happen to them? Is this indeed even the case or is it just that that is how the person perceives it? There are a lot of theories about this and a great many books on the subject as the depths you can go to researching this are as far and complex as the subject itself.

From a training point of view though, if you consistently do something for 21 days it will become part of your subconscious/unconscious memory and thus is turned by the mind into a habit, or should I say a new habit or learned habit. Which should make it much easier to carry on performing the new learned habit, this is how we learn new things and retain the important information that relates to these habits. So this new year try out new things as much as you can get out your comfort zone, there is a big world out there and so much to try, learn and experience and you never know it could just change your life and the lives of those around you!

It does not have to be a massive change either, it could start off with small steps that get you out of your normal routine and make a positive change to you, or it could be that it is the first step towards a larger change that you have always wanted to make. Whatever it is, it all starts with that first step and when you take it you will be closer to the goal than you are right now. So what are you waiting for there is no time like there present, so get out there and embrace it.
